The Organic Peddler is one of the coffee shops that co-exist with a café, hostel and an organic general store in a historic yellow adobe building. There is a balance of cosmic serenity at work there that makes The Organic Peddler worth checking out. We came across The Organic Peddler by chance in the wonderful town of Del Norte Colorado, who knew such a place could be there, but there it is. The food served there is freshly made and local, so the menu is seasonal, the general store carries all kinds of interesting stuff, clothes from all over the world, sage bundles, incense, new age items, and organic groceries, but the main reason we stopped there was the promise of coffee or espresso. The Organic Peddler delivered, the coffee and espresso menu is simple, but the quality was first rate. I will take that over a large menu where the quality is barely passing. The staff was very friendly and willing to help you out with the menu with the café side of the operation, and just as friendly and customer supportive with the coffee and espresso part of it as well.
The Organic Peddler is one of those places where you stop and take your time from the hurried pace of traveling, an oasis of serenity without it being over the top, just a nice place to have some outstanding food and equally outstanding coffee.
