ResQ Coffee

ResQ Coffee is a charming little place, lovingly run by a mom-and-pop team here in Longmont CO. They roast coffee in a more intimate way than some other roasters, but they make up for it with coffee that’s incredibly high quality. What I truly admire about ResQ is their dedication to the community, as they donate a portion of their earnings to Together we resQ, a giving fund that focuses on people and pets. I had the chance to try their Costa Rica Tarrazu La Minita Estate, and here’s what I thought:

Aroma: The aroma is so inviting, bursting with the delightful scents of red cherry, almonds, and chocolate. It’s like a warm hug in a cup, making you want to grab a mug right away instead of waiting for morning.

Flavor: The flavor is rich and full of heady almonds and chocolate, with a gentle cherry finish. It’s not overpowering, just a lovely balance.

Acidity: It’s mild, not too sharp or sweet, with a bright, crisp finish that ages beautifully in the cup. The cherry flavor adds a refreshing tartness.

Body: It’s medium-bodied, not too light or heavy, just right in the Golden Zone for a pleasant mouthfeel.

Adding Milk: If you enjoy milk in your coffee, this is a fantastic choice. You get all the almond and chocolate flavors, but the cherry becomes a subtle, almost whisper-like finish note.

Overall, I highly recommend ResQ Coffee. By patronizing them, you are supporting local businesses and supporting a community charity.
