North End Coffeehouse Yuma’s new destination for coffee.

North End Coffeehouse is a new destination point for those who want some fabulous coffee or espresso. North End has everything, fresh coffee, talented baristas that know how to do their trade, a dog friendly shop.  They also have a very active community platform for local artist.

I discovered North End Coffeehouse on my night stay in Yuma. Being the type of person who enjoys a solid cup, this was the perfect place. I was quite impressed with the space and décor, with a slight nod to Steam Punk, it makes hanging out at North End a treat for the adventuresome eye. My dog George was welcomed in, there was a water bowl and lots of pats for him. If you have a well-behaved canine, they host a Yappy Hour, encouraging dogs to visit and have a good time.  Another facet of the North End Coffeehouse community spirit is live music and movie night, and group activities.

How was the Coffee?

The coffee was excellent! As well as the service! They roast their own coffee in small batches and have made an excellent espresso roast for themselves. I ordered a dry cappuccino and it was perfect! There are several coffee options, cold, hot and blended, enough to cover all the basics. I had their drip coffee as well when I made my return trip to Phoenix several days later and the coffee and the service was just the same, outstanding.

The shop itself?

North End Coffeehouse has lots of room in an old building that was built at the turn of the early 20th century, when Arizona was still a territory. There are seats by the windows, couches in the center, and plenty of small tables and chairs. One thing I did notice is the Steam Punk fixtures that really work, not the fake stuff you see, but some real honest to goodness stuff, so the inner geek in me was jazzing on it.

Overall?

Overall, I am proud to say if I lived in Yuma, you would most certainly find me at North End Coffeehouse, hanging out with my dog and having coffee. I felt right at home, and so did George.
