What make this place stand out?
What caught my attention, besides the coffee, was the location, it is in a repurposed building that was built during the Industrial Revolution, a real testament to the building’s soundness, and the creative contractors that remolded, and repurposed this building.
Acoustic Java is a high quality coffee shop and coffee roaster. I found the staff to be very friendly, and knowledgeable. I got the impression that if I was a regular the staff would get to know me and I would keep coming back. There is a wide menu selection for all kinds of caffeine drinks, and it’s not limited to just coffee or espresso, tea, cocoa and cider are also available.
The lobby has two areas; the main lobby, where the coffee bar is, and there a seating area to the side that has several large tables set up for groups to meet and do activities. When we were there, we saw a chess meeting going on, which was really cool to see.
What else goes on?
Acoustic Java offers free coffee tastings every Friday at 10 am. During the summer months they have movie screenings, and that’s just a few of the many activities they offer, making Acoustic Java a hub of activity for its community.
There is also a mail order service in place if you want to keep experiencing their fine coffee at home. It is worth checking out.
If you find yourself in lower and central Massachusetts, go check out Acoustic Java it is well worth it.
